A NEW CONTRIBUTOR...OPEN THE FLOOD GATES!

Hey Eclectic Ones,
I am Taeng00ey808, a fellow contributor..but more of a reference for Kpop (Korean Pop Music) on this site. My previous (and only, up to now) contribution was the Tae Yeon & SNSD mix "Devil's Cry & Run Devil Run (Soshi Boy Rock Mix)".

Some quick notes:
1. I love Kpop but am no means an authority. My entries here will purely be based on my taste and opinion and NO ONE ELSE'S. So don't flame the owner of this blog or service. It's just an opinion.
2. Although the focus will mainly be Kpop, I will drop in a little movie, app or non-Kpop music tidbits...I'm glad its called Random Eclectics because that gives a very wide range!
3. Not a Facebook person (we are a rare breed in these times) but dabble in Twitter or Instagram. Only one person can make me join Facebook...and that hasn't happened yet. Also, I haven't posted to Instagram yet, but I might, depending...
4. I am a fan of Girls' Generation/SNSD/So Nuyh Shi Dae/Shoujo Jidai and especially Kim Tae Yeon. What a voice!

I am hoping that I can contribute to the site regularly but there's no guarantees. Life happens, you know. =)

Thank, Randomness, for being so...random.

Welcome new contributor!!!

Welcome Taeng00ey808! New contributor to this blog.

Well may be now there will be more (current) posts now! LOL

Pure Leaf tea by Lipton

Well, just bought a bottle of Green tea with honey from Pure Leaf. Its actually pretty good! The only problem might be considered that because they fill the bottle full there is no way to adequately mix the flavor before drinking. You have to drink some to make space, cap, then shake bottle. This evens out the flavor. Before doing this the tea is rather light (read watery) but after shaking the bottle the distinct taste of ginseng and honey came out. This is a drink I would get again!

Mobile Blogger client

Yeah so I have installed a mobile client. This should be interesting. Maybe I'll actually making use of this blog now. XD

UPDATE: It WORKS!!!!!! Of course it also hasn't increase the posting to this site. XD

Old people and feeding animals

So just watched an old man feeding pidgins. He got a warning from security that it is prohibited to feed the birds. There is an old man who lives near me who apparently cooks a pot of rice specifically to feed to birds. There is a woman who frequents an open lot and feeds the cats there. The lot is located across the street from the local humane society but they won't do anything about the feral cats. If you call the humane society they tell you to come by and pick up traps and to drop the traps off when anything is caught. What the hell. So what do you do again?
There is a park nearby and a woman goes there to feed the cats. She said that she is licenced and so is allowed to feed the cats and we should also have the kids on this particular outting not to mess with the cats. Well of course I checked with the humane society and the local university to check this out. I have never heard of a licenced animal feeder. Both responded to the negative about there being a licence let alone someone with the resposibility to feed feral animals.

Yeah. I don't get people.

Iceland plans to ban Internet porn. Sparks uproar.

Icelandic parliamentarian Birgitta Jonsdottir, a prominent advocate of online freedom said, "the key to protecting children and others from hardcore harm is for citizens to better inform themselves about the Internet and how it works."

So at least one person in government actually gets it.

Not that I'm advocating for porn (they have their own supporters), but I am advocating for a more educated Internet user. Why should 'net users have laws crammed down our throats because people can't be bothered to take some time and smarten up. Geez we put warning labels on products why don't we just ban those items too. Are we saying that are citizenry is just too frikken stoopid tooz unnerstan? Porn is an easy target. Not really socially acceptable, yet someone must be consuming it somewhere because they are still raking in billions. Maybe there are a few really rich reclusive porn consumers or else people just aren't admitting that they occasionally partake of adult entertainment. Yes, I know that Iceland is talking about the sub-genre of adult entertainment that deviates from what most people consider normal.

And once this COUNTRY-wide porn ban is in place, which is either going to be rather lax because of an ill conceived porn definition. Or else extremely draconian because they threw every possible permutation of "porn" into the filter. Ok, I guess we will just not expect much research into human sexuality to come out of Iceland. How long before this is attempted by other countries? We already know that there is censorship of the Internet in certain countries.

And why would anyone want to follow Iceland as an example. They were short sighted enough to create a credit driven economy. All their banks failed. Oh and now they are capable of deciding what is appropriate on the Internet.

The Internet is a whole big wonderful tool. It allows access to an incredible amount of information. But like everything else there is a dark and ugly side. Why is there always a someone, somewhere has to decide "yup, I think I will bend a rule. I'm not breaking it per se but not quite following it either." You've seen this mentality. The driver that passes the Speed Limit sign that reads 25, but I'm only going 32... Uh, yeah. It takes more time and a longer distance to stop the momentum that extra 7 mph. The "Please take one" candies that seems to disappear faster than there were people around to partake of this treat.

Really. I'm also not saying people should be ants either. But there should be a happy medium. A compromise that allows for a stable society and yet flexible to allow for growth.
